Recovering

We managed to suprise FIL with his birthday party ~ thanks for keeping it a surprise! He knew something was up but just thought it would be family involved...84 people later...you get the picture. We even had 24 no-shows, but it was a really fun evening. We have way too much food left over and we gave a lot away to people who are having New Year's parties tonight. I managed to hurt my back Friday night carrying in a box of food; yesterday I o/d'd on my pain-pills so today I thought I'd ease off of them a bit and now I'm walking around like an 80-y/o woman.

The boys are behaving, the dog is happily destroying a broken toy outside, the weather is snowy and all is well in my world.

Christmas is Over

So Christmas is over; the fridge is full of turkey leftovers, and now I'm frantically getting ready for my FIL's SURPRISE 60th birthday party tomorrow night....shhhhh!!! He doesn't know about it yet!!! We're only expecting 100 people + or - for the open house.

Today the workers are here scrambling to finish our renovations in time; I don't think they'll make it. K is painting like a madman; W finished the steps and porch yesterday and is working on the steps for the back entrance and B...well I'm not sure what B is doing. As Boss-man I guess he can do his own thing without people questioning him.

The boys are vegging out and watching way too much TV. Today is a Star Wars marathon ~ but it also keeps them from messing up the house for the party. Which they know nothing about because then it wouldn't be a suprise now would it!

So I best be off and see what damage has been done and needs to be fixed.
